Arguing that tough laws save lives, Massachusetts Attorney General Andrea Joy Campbell has signed onto a federal court brief supporting Delaware in a challenge to its laws banning assault weapons and large-capacity magazines. Campbell, joined by New Jersey Attorney General Matthew Platkin, co-led the amicus brief filed in the Philadelphia-based U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. Sixteen more attorneys general from California, Colorado, Connecticut, District of Columbia, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Washington also signed the brief.
